I carry a cell phone with me everywhere I go. I actually have more than one – one for work and one for personal use. It’s just a part of my everyday routine now, and the thought of getting rid of them is unthinkable.
In spite of this, I am becoming increasingly aware that cell phone radiation might be harmful to our health. Whenever we talk about cell phone radiation, we refer to radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation. This particular kind of radiation has been classified by the World Health Organization’s International Association for Research on Cancer as possibly carcinogenic to humans.

Research on the long-term effects of cell phone radiation is ongoing, and the results are yet to be determined. It is, therefore, essential to take precautions to minimize exposure to radiation.
Ways to Reduce Cell Phone Radiation Exposure
So I can co-exist safely with my cell phone, there are various steps I can take to reduce exposure. For instance, I practice safe cell phone usage, which involves using the phone on speaker mode or a wired headset, avoiding holding the phone to your ear, and reducing the duration of calls. I highly recommend using hands-free devices such as Bluetooth and headsets to effectively reduce exposure to radiation. Additionally, I make sure to reduce the duration and frequency of calls as an effective way to minimize exposure to radiation.
Other Ways to Minimize Cell Phone Radiation
- Use A Protective Case
When it comes to protecting myself from my phone’s EMF radiation, I’ve found that phone cases can be quite useful. These cases are designed to fit snugly around the phone and reduce the amount of radiation it emits. There are plenty of options available, ranging in size, color, and style. Most have a protective cover that you can use to shield the screen, while others have extra features like built-in wallets or stands. It’s worth noting, however, that these cases don’t protect you while you’re using your phone – they’re primarily meant to make carrying your phone around safer.

- Try A Faraday Bag
If you’re concerned about cell phone radiation, there’s another option besides using a protective case: a Faraday bag. These bags work similarly to Faraday cages, which block electromagnetic radiation. By placing your phone inside the bag, you can significantly reduce your exposure to EMF radiation. Unlike protective cases, which only reduce radiation, Faraday bags block 100% of the radiation. When I talk on my cell phone, I’m exposing myself to a significant amount of radiation. Some studies suggest that prolonged cell phone use can even lead to rare brain tumors like glioma. To reduce my risk, I can use a headset instead. While any headset is better than nothing, wireless earbuds that use Bluetooth may actually add more RF-EMF radiation near my ear. Most pants are not thick, which means that the phone is likely very close to your body, with little distance between you and the device. This is particularly concerning given that the phone is positioned right next to your reproductive organs, which could be the most affected part of your body due to the EMF radiation. - Turn Off The Phone At Night
If I can manage it, turning my cell phone off at night or at least putting it into airplane mode may be beneficial for me. While this option may not be feasible for those who need to be reachable 24/7, there are numerous advantages to consider. Our bodies carry out most of their healing during the night while we sleep, making it essential to decrease our exposure to EMF radiation during those critical hours. Turning off my cell phone will greatly reduce the amount of radiation in my immediate surroundings. In addition, cell phones are known to emit blue light that disrupts the natural production of melatonin, a hormone that promotes sleep. Using my cell phone before bedtime can lead to prolonged wakefulness. Establishing a specific time to turn off my phone each night may prevent me from using it before bed and improve the quality of my sleep.
- Download And Disconnect Whenever Possible
If I enjoy listening to music or watching videos on my cell phone, it’s worth considering downloading them to the device whenever possible. By doing this, I can go into airplane mode and watch or listen to my downloaded content without exposing myself to as much EMF radiation. While this may not work for every activity, it’s a useful trick to keep in mind when trying to reduce my overall exposure.
- Make Use Of Protective Stickers
There are many anti-radiation stickers available on the market, and I’ve heard about them. These stickers can be easily attached to the back of your cell phone. Some of them claim to reduce the phone’s EMF exposure, some neutralize the EMF energies, and some change the properties of EMF radiation, making it less harmful to the body. However, I need to be cautious as not all of these claims have been verified. There is very little scientific evidence to support protective stickers, so it may be necessary to try the product and judge for oneself. One popular brand of EMF sticker is Aulterra’s Neutralizer, which claims to change the physical structure of your phone’s electromagnetic frequencies, rendering them harmless to your health.

- Consider Crystals
For years, people have been using crystals for various purposes, from detoxification to protection. There are many different types of crystals and stones available, each with their own benefits and qualities. Some of these crystals may also help with EMF radiation from my cell phone. For example, I found that 432Oneness offers an EMF Protection Disk made from orgone. This disk is a blend of various stones, including black tourmaline, shungite, silica, quartz, copper, and selenite.
